Distribution:- West and West-central Africa

Comments:- Grows to about 1.5  metres (5 ft)

Subspecies:
   O. t. tetraspis - West African Dwarf Crocodile (found in the West)
   O. t. osborni - Congo (or Osborn's) Dwarf Crocodile (found in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire)
