Distribution:- Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Mauritania, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, Zimbabwe. Now extinct in Israel, and the Comoros Islands
Comments:- May grow to to over 16 ft (5m) Maximum recorded size is 6.45 m (21.2 ft)

C. n. madagascariensis(Malagasy Nile crocodile)

C. n. suchus (Central African Nile crocodile)
