Distribution:- South & South-east Asia

Comments:- Adults usually grow up to 2 Metres (6ft) but can grow to approximately (3 metre) 10 ft

 


This Asian Water Monitor Varanus salvator was photographed at Club Med, Bali where a wild colony lives on the grounds. They often fed by resort guests.



The "Black Water Monitor" sometimes called Varanus salvator komaini (invalid subspecies) occurs in Thailand - (Photographed at Repticon Miami)
