Distribution:- Eastern Pacific Ocean, also recorded from Oman, and Iran

Comments:- Some experts consider the Atlantic Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas mydas) and Pacific Black Turtle (Chelonia agassizii) to be the same species. Also some people do not recognise any of the subspecies as being valid.

HYBRIDS

Note that hybrids can occur in the wild between Green Turtles (Chelonia mydas) and Loggerhead Turtles (Caretta caretta) as well as Hawksbill Turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata)
