Distribution:-  Eastern Europe and Southwestern Asia.
Comments:- Grows to around 6 inches (15 cm) total length

There are nine currently recognised subspecies of Ablepharus kitaibelii listed below (as of March 2020)

Slovakia, N Serbia, Hungary, Greece (Corfu = Corfou)

Ablepharus kitaibelii stepaneki

 

Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania
